Previously used gel sea moss but found the sell by date would mean using more than i would want to at a time. This powder gives me the same amount of vits and nutrients in just 1/4 teaspoon. I find mixing it into a paste with warm water then adding some ice cold water and “shotting” it helps me to brave up to the seaweed taste. Which is actually quite mild but Im a wuss with these kinda things! I know this pack will last me way longer than my usual jar of gel so will be sticking with this brand from now. This comes in powder form which is ideal for using in baking and making. It’s also cheaper than agar agar which is what I used to use in the in early days of veganising dishes like desserts. This is especially good for binding and jellies. So puddings etc. Anytime a recipe calls for gelatin you can use this sea moss in it’s place veganising any dish you like. Properly used you can easily disguise the taste and get the full benefits of this natural plant based alternative to your dishes. Also good if you want to thicken sauces or even your homemade milk alternative. There are no end of uses to this powder. Highly recommend.

With all the amazing things I hear about Sea moss I was intrigued to give it a go. This arrived pretty quickly and properly sealed. It does smell not very great but that is to be expected! I mix a table spoon into my smoothies and it’s not detectable which works great for me. Exciting to see long term how it goes. I’m looking to incorporate it into my diet different ways so I’m pleased. Not sure I could take a spoonful on its own! The smell is quite strong. I would highly recommend though.

I've noticed some other reviewers complaining that this product sticks to teeth and the roof of the mouth. I've had no such issue. I've been adding this pure powdered sea moss to whey protein smoothies which I make in the blender with fruit juice. It blends just fine. Perhaps that's the answer: don't simply chuck a 1/4 teaspoon of powder onto food or into a drink - blend it in more vigorously.I have no criticisms of this product. It's a pure, cruelty-free source of iodine and 91 other important minerals. As far as bang for your proverbial buck, you won't find much better than that. It's so potent that a quarter-teaspoon delivers more quality nutrition than many multivitamins (and in a more natural, bioavailable form). Iodine has been identified as vital to correct thyroid function, so for anyone with thyroid issues this supplement could be especially beneficial.Flavour's OK - it smells and tastes like moss...because it is moss, with nothing added. I absolutely love all forms of seaweed, it’s a definite favourite. This however is a little bit different, it’s a very finely ground powder. It tastes exactly as you would expect, of seaweed.The recommended dose is just a quarter of a teaspoon a day, which is a very small amount.The problem is that being a powder, and a very fine powder, it sticks to your teeth and the roof of your mouth, and is very difficult to swallow.I’m wondering if I could make this into a slightly easier to swallow paste with something, perhaps hot water, or add it to cups of soup. It might work in the same way as Dashi powder, to add flavour to dishes and stock.I can’t see myself remembering to take this every day, as it’s not a pleasant experience, trying to shift it. I really like the flavour, it really tastes of the sea, but the consistency - no.I think this could be put into capsules, to make it much easier to swallow. Not my favourite way of taking seaweed, alas.
